When you apply to a Chinese university, you sometimes wonder why your application was rejected or not received feedback for a long time. We have sorted out some common application notes for your reference.
1. Ensure your application materials are complete and named after the materials directory. Use standard forms, and the application materials should be translated into Chinese or English;
2. The medical report and police clearance certificate are within the validity period, usually within 6 months of the application period;
3. If you are applying for a bachelor’s degree, you must not graduate with a failing grade, otherwise it will be difficult to find a university to accept you. If you are applying for a bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine, the grades of physics, biology, chemistry, and mathematical should be at least 70% on your high school transcript;
4. All your official documents need to have valid seals and not be forged;
5. Please submit your application within the specified time, and applications for graduate programs usually end earlier;
6. Please read the latest admission profile of the university carefully when applying. We suggest you not apply for majors that are not on the university enrollment list or unpopular majors in case of are rejected due to the wrong choice or the small number of applicants;
7. It is necessary to know about the nationality, age, and achievement requirements of university admission;
8. Most of the universities use an online application portal. Please be sure to fill in the applicant’s email to ensure timely receipt of relevant notifications;
9. Please write the correct email address in the university or online application form because the JW202 form will be sent to your email directly when you are admitted.
In addition to the above notices, students in China also need to prepare the following supplementary materials.
1. A certificate of completion and transcript from a Chinese university will be required. If you don’t finish your studies at the last university, it won’t be easy to find another one to accept you;
2. A certificate of school performance or non-criminal record from the last Chinese university;
3. Class attendance letter issued by the last Chinese university, and class attendance should be above 75%;
4. It is better to apply within one month of the validity period of your visa and at least one and a half months for the summer vacation. Otherwise, the school may reject the application due to the tight processing time;
5. If you currently hold a visa other than a student visa, please check with our admission staff before submitting your application to see if the university can transfer your visa to a student visa.
