📘 Program Overview
The WIPO–China Summer School on Intellectual Property (IP), jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Renmin University of China (RUC), will be held in Beijing from July 7 to July 18, 2025.
This two-week program offers an excellent opportunity for graduate and postgraduate students, as well as young professionals, to enhance their understanding of key areas of intellectual property and gain deeper insights into the structure, functions, and global role of WIPO.
📚 Curriculum
The academic content of the program includes:
- Lectures by experts in IP
- Case studies drawn from real-world scenarios
- Simulation exercises to apply theory in practice
- Interactive group discussions fostering peer learning
The program highlights the interdisciplinary nature of IP and its connection with fields such as law, business, technology, and international relations.
🎓 Certificate of Participation
Participants who meet the program requirements will receive an official Certificate of Participation. To qualify, participants must:
- Attend all sessions
- Actively engage in group discussions and projects
- For online participants: Keep their camera on throughout the sessions
Applicants are encouraged to assess their availability and commitment before applying.
✅ Eligibility
This program is open to a maximum of 40 participants, including:
- Senior graduate and postgraduate students
- Young professionals from any field or discipline
- Applicants who already possess foundational knowledge of IP
Important: All applicants must have successfully completed the WIPO General Course on Intellectual Property (DL-101) before the registration deadline. Priority will be given to those who have completed this course.

💵 Registration Fee
Participation in this Summer School is free of charge. The registration fee has been waived for all selected participants.
