I. Application Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Not hold Chinese nationality and possess a valid ordinary passport.
  • Be physically and mentally healthy, friendly to China, and have no criminal record.
  • Hold a full-time high school diploma (or higher) and meet university application eligibility.
  • Take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) administered by CSC on behalf of the Ministry of Education and submit the official score report.
  • Demonstrate English proficiency via one of the following:
    • IELTS Academic overall 6.0+, or
    • TOEFL iBT overall 90+, or
    • Proof of equivalent proficiency, or
    • Native English speaker, or
    • At least three years of full-time English-medium education with documentation.
  • Meet the nationality regulations issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

III. Application Schedule (GMT+8)

  • Online Application: January 1 – May 31, 2026
  • Qualification Review: January 2 – June 10, 2026
  • School Review: March – June 2026
  • Admission: April – July 2026

Note:
The International Students Office (ISO) will review all materials during qualification review. Applicants who fail the preliminary review must resubmit materials before the deadline. No late submissions will be accepted.

IV. Application Procedure

1. Online Application

  • Apply via the International Students Application System:
    http://international.ruc.edu.cn/application
  • Deadline: May 31, 2026 (GMT+8)
  • Pay the non-refundable application fee: CNY 800
  • Upload all required documents truthfully.

2. Qualification Review

ISO reviews all uploaded materials. Applicants failing the review must re-upload corrected documents within the review period.

3. School Review

Renmin Business School evaluates qualified applications. Approved candidates will receive an interview notice.

4. Admission & Enrollment

  • Admission results announced April–July 2026.
  • Students register onsite in late August or early September 2026 with all original documents.
  • Fraud or discrepancies in identity information will result in revocation of admission.

V. Application Documents

(All documents must be in Chinese or English; otherwise provide notarized translations.)

1. Valid Passport Identification Page

  • Passport must be valid after March 31, 2027.
  • Applicants in China must submit the visa page.

Notes:

  1. The university does not accept the following as proof of identity: PRC Travel Permit, Exit-Entry Permit, Mainland Travel Permits for HK/Macao/Taiwan Residents, Residence Permits for HK/Macao/Taiwan Residents, etc.
  2. From the date of application until 3 months after registration, applicants cannot change passport or personal information (name, gender, DOB, nationality, passport number, etc.) unless unavoidable, with written approval. Any mismatch may lead to rejection of enrollment.

2. Final Education Certificate

  • High school graduates must submit their notarized/verified diploma.
  • Current students must submit a Certificate of Expected Graduation, and provide the final notarized diploma before registration.

3. High School Transcript

  • Must include all courses up to graduation.
  • If not in centesimal grading, provide grading scale explanation.

4. CSCA Score Report

5. English Proficiency Certificate

  • IELTS 6.0+ or TOEFL iBT 90+
  • Exceptions apply to native speakers or applicants with ≥3 years English-medium education.

6. Personal Statement (English)

Include academic background, experiences, research interests, and career plans.

7. Recommendation Letter

Must include recommender’s signature, name, position, department, and email.

8. Statement of Guarantee

Download from:

Must be signed by the economic guarantor.

9. Proof of Economic Capability (choose one)

  1. Employment & Income Certificate
  2. Bank statement showing ≥ CNY 30,000 (or equivalent)

10. Certificate of No Criminal Record

  • Applicants outside mainland China: issued by local police.
  • Applicants inside mainland China: issued by Entry-Exit Administration.

11. Foreigner Physical Examination Form

  • Original in Chinese or English
  • Must include photo, cross-page seal, doctor signature, hospital seal
  • Valid for 6 months

12. Nationality Proof

Required according to PRC Nationality Law and Letter No.12 (2020).

13. Notarized Chinese Guardian Document

Mandatory for applicants under 18 whose parents do not reside in China.

14. Other Supporting Documents

Optional: publications, awards, research achievements.

VI. Scholarship Application

Beijing Government Scholarship
Supports excellent international students studying in Beijing. Further updates will be provided.

VII. Insurance

International students must purchase comprehensive insurance.

Students without valid insurance cannot be registered.

VIII. Housing

Enrolled students will receive a Room Reservation Form from the Housing Office.

Contact:

Students living off-campus must register their temporary residence at the local police station within 24 hours.

IX. Visa

Students must apply for an X1 visa using the admission notice + JW201/202.
After arrival in China, convert X1 visa to Residence Permit within 30 days.

X. Implementation

Enrollment is conducted by the International Students Office under the University Admissions Committee. ISO retains the final interpretation of the admission brochure. Any policy adjustments will follow the latest official announcements.
