2026 SISU Chinese Government Scholarship (Category B) – Application Guide

Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship (Category B) Independent Enrollment Program.
This program includes two sub-tracks: the “High-Level Graduate Program” and the “Silk Road Program.”

🎓 Program Overview

The scholarship supports outstanding international students pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees at SISU.

  • High-Level Graduate Program: for applicants with strong academic backgrounds and development potential.
  • Silk Road Program: designed to train professionals urgently needed by Belt and Road Initiative partner countries.

Both sub-programs share the same application platform, timeline, and evaluation process.

📘 Eligibility

  • Non-Chinese citizens in good health.
  • Under 35 for master’s applicants; under 40 for doctoral applicants.
  • Applicants must hold a recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree.

📚 Available Programs

Refer to the 2026 Graduate Program List (Annex 1 – available via “Read More”).
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: 2–3 years (master’s) / 4 years (doctorate).

💰 Scholarship Benefits

A full scholarship covering:

  • Tuition fees
  • On-campus accommodation
  • Comprehensive medical insurance
  • Monthly stipend (in accordance with current CSC standards)

⏰ Key Dates

  • Application Deadline: November 20, 2025 (24:00 Beijing Time)
  • Entrance Exam: November 24 – December 11, 2025
  • Scholarship Review: December 2025 – January 2026
  • CSC Expert Review: April – June 2026
  • Final Results Announcement: July – August 2026
  • Registration at SISU: August – September 2026

🖥️ Application Process

  1. Register at SISU Online Application System
  2. Complete all sections and upload required PDF documents.
  3. Pay the application fee and submit before the deadline.
  4. Monitor application status online (“Accepted,” “Incomplete,” etc.).
  5. Participate in online written and oral exams organized by SISU.
  6. Await notification of admission and scholarship results by email.

🏫 Important Notes

  • Applicants cannot hold multiple Chinese government scholarships at once.
  • Any false or forged documents will result in disqualification.
  • Scholarship recipients must pass annual evaluations to maintain funding.
  • Deferred registration is not permitted.
