🧑🎓 Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens
- Be friendly to China, law-abiding, and free of any criminal record
- Be in good physical and mental health
- Have strong academic and behavioral performance
- Be between 16–35 years old by September 1, 2025
- In-service Chinese language teachers: age limit may extend to 45
- Bachelor’s program applicants: typically under 25
🎓 Scholarship Categories & Requirements
1. Doctoral Degree in International Chinese Language Education
- 🗓 Start: September 2025 | ⏳ Duration: up to 4 years
- 🎓 Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Chinese language, education, linguistics, or related fields
- HSK Level 6 score ≥ 200 + HSKK Advanced score ≥ 60
- Preference for applicants with a teaching job offer after graduation
2. Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education
- 🗓 Start: September 2025 | ⏳ Duration: up to 2 years
- 🎓 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- HSK Level 5 score ≥ 210 + HSKK Intermediate score ≥ 60
- Priority for those with teaching contracts or similar proof
3. Bachelor’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education
- 🗓 Start: September 2025 | ⏳ Duration: up to 4 years
- 🎓 Requirements:
- High school diploma
- HSK Level 4 score ≥ 210 + HSKK Intermediate score ≥ 60
4. One-Year Study Program
- 🗓 Start: September 2025 | ⏳ Duration: up to 11 months
- 🎓 Requirements vary by program:
- International Chinese Language Education: HSK Level 3 score ≥ 270 + HSKK score
- Chinese Language & Literature: HSK Level 4 ≥ 180 + HSKK Intermediate ≥ 60
- Chinese Language Study: HSK Level 3 ≥ 210; HSKK recommended
5. One-Semester Study Program
- 🗓 Start: September 2025 or March 2026 | ⏳ Duration: up to 5 months
- 🎓 Requirements:
- HSK Level 3 ≥ 180 + HSKK score
- Applies to Chinese education and literature programs
6. Four-Week Study Program
- 🗓 Start: July or December 2025 | ⏳ Duration: up to 4 weeks
- 🎓 Requirements:
- HSK score (for Chinese language or Taiji programs)
- Must be organized by a recommending institution for groups of 10–15
- A detailed study plan is required and must be pre-approved by CLEC

TJNU’s HSK Testing Center is one of the earliest institutions approved to recommend international students for this scholarship.

⚠️ Important Policies
- Applicants who received similar scholarships in the last 3 years are not eligible for the one-semester or one-year programs
- Degree students must pass annual scholarship assessments
- Failure to pass the medical check, complete registration, or early withdrawal will result in scholarship cancellation
