The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has officially announced its 2025 Global Winter School, an exclusive online academic program designed for international students across undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels. The program will take place in two intensive modules scheduled for December 8–12, 2025, and December 15–19, 2025.
Led by IIT Bombay’s distinguished faculty, the Global Winter School offers participants a wide selection of interdisciplinary courses taught entirely in English. Each course provides a total of 20 hours of instruction, combining interactive lectures, discussions, and assignments to deliver a rigorous yet accessible academic experience. Students are required to maintain at least 80% attendance to qualify for a Certificate of Completion.
Applicants may register for one course per week, although they may indicate interest in two. Final placement decisions will be made by individual course instructors. Since some courses include prerequisites, participants are encouraged to review all course details carefully before applying.
The registration fee for the program is USD 30, making it an affordable opportunity for students seeking to expand their global learning experience from anywhere in the world. The application deadline is October 25, 2025 (11:59 PM IST).
The Global Winter School aims to foster international collaboration and provide exposure to IIT Bombay’s world-class academic environment through a fully virtual format. Course timings will be adjusted to accommodate students across different time zones.
For more information, students can explore the official pages for each week’s course list and apply via the 2025 Global Virtual Winter School portal.
