New Chinese Ambassador Jiang Xuebin published a written speech at Ankara Esenboğa Airport upon his arrival in Türkiye. The Ambassador expressed that it was a great honor to be the 16th Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Türkiye appointed by President Xi Jinping.
In his speech, Ambassador Jiang emphasized that China and Türkiye share a deep-rooted history spanning thousands of years and have established deep, friendly relations thanks to the Silk Road. Jiang stated that 2024 brings important gains for the relations between the two countries and that the meeting between Xi Jinping and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit has drawn a new direction in bilateral ties.
Jiang said that for the strategic cooperation between Türkiye and China to deepen further, both countries should display strong political trust and solidarity, reminding the Turkish saying, “Two candles shine brighter.” The Chinese saying, “Fire burns brighter when we work together,” stated that this cooperation has a place in the hearts of both peoples.
Jiang said he knew his responsibilities as he took up his new position and would do his best to strengthen the China-Türkiye friendship and create new cooperation opportunities. He added that the Chinese Embassy would continue supporting Chinese citizens and Türkiye’s business world.
