The Zhejiang Government Scholarship provides financial support to outstanding international students either currently studying or applying to higher education institutions (HEIs) in Zhejiang Province.
Eligible Applicants
- Undergraduate (Freshman) students
Required Application Materials
- Completed application form with an ID photo (white background, 35mm×45mm).
- A photocopy of the applicant’s passport.
- Senior high school diploma (original or notarized copy).
- Graduating high school students can submit a pre-graduation certificate; however, the original diploma or notarized copy must be provided after admission.
- Official transcripts for all senior high school courses (original or notarized copy).
- HSK certificate (for Chinese-taught program applicants). The original copy must be submitted after admission.
- TOEFL/IELTS or other recognized English proficiency test scores (for English-taught program applicants whose native language is not English). The original copy must be submitted after admission.
- Valid Health Certificate.
- Non-criminal record certificate.
Application Procedure
- Apply Online:
- Visit our official application website: www.zjut.at0086.cn/student.
- When prompted with the question, “Do you want to apply for a scholarship?” select “Yes.”
- Application Processing:
- Once your application status changes to “Processing,” it will take approximately 2-3 weeks for evaluation.
- Scholarship results will be emailed to successful applicants, and they can also be checked directly on the application system.
- Deposit Payment:
- Scholarship recipients must pay a deposit of 1400 RMB and upload the payment receipt to the application system on time.
- Registration & Bank Card Setup:
- Scholarship recipients must register on time with their admission letter, scholarship certificate, and other required documents.
- After registration, students should apply for an ICBC bank card and submit their details to ischolarship@zjut.edu.cn by October 31.
- Once the ICBC bank card is issued, recipients must sign a withholding agreement, which allows the university to automatically deduct tuition fees from the ICBC account once the scholarship is disbursed.
Important Note:
- According to Zhejiang University of Technology’s international student policies, students who are already in China and need to apply for a visa must pay one full year of tuition upfront, regardless of their scholarship level.

- 20,000 RMB per recipient (only for the first year).
