SUFE 2025 CSC Scholarship – University Program (Type B)

The scheme is administered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) in collaboration with Chinese universities. Applicants may submit scholarship applications directly to universities.

Award details

Duration: same as the standard length of the program

Value: The scholarship covers tuition, lodging, medical insurance, and a living stipend (master CNY 3,000/month, PhD CNY 3,500/month)

Apply Process

There is a two-stage application process: first, applying for entry to the graduate program at SUFE, then, after being informed about the university admission decision outcomes, applying separately to the CSC for the scholarship.

Stage 1: Apply for a graduate program at SUFE (December 1, 2024-February 28, 2025)

Visit the Study at SUFE website for the list of graduate programs and information, and confirm the specific entry requirements, application process, and required documentation for your application. Remit the application fee (CNY830/1660) and submit the program application through the SUFE Applicant Portal（ao.sufe.edu.cn）.

Stage 2: Apply to the CSC for the scholarship (middle March 2025)

SUFE Admission Office reviews your application submitted through the SUFE Applicant Portal. If shortlisted, you must take the evaluative interview (online interview) conducted by SUFE. If you receive an offer of a place from SUFE, you must apply separately to the CSC for the scholarship and follow the CSC application process. CSC applications must be submitted online on the CSC website (http://www.campuschina.org).

Selection Process

It is important to note that during the selection process:

The eligibility criteria will be applied automatically, using the details you provide in the relevant sections of the application form (for example, your country of ordinary residence and your previous education institutions).

CSC reviews and evaluates scholarship candidates’ applications and decides the scholarship winners’ names.

The scholarship is awarded based on merits (academics, test scores, extracurricular activities, community service, etc.), not on your need for financial aid.

Scholarship Outcomes

The list of scholarship winners is released in late June or July. SUFE will email you to inform you if your name is on the list and send you the admission package (Admission Notice, Confirmation Form for Study in China (JW201 Form), etc.).

Please note:

The selection process timeline is subject to change according to CSC’s workflow.
The CSC reserves the right to decide the host university for scholarship winners. Each scholarship winner, including those with admission offers from different universities, will be granted no more than one scholarship.
Scholarship winners shall not change their host university, field of study, or study duration stipulated on the Admission Notice.
SUFE reserves the right to revoke admission, and the scholarship will be canceled as well if:

-You failed to register for the 2025 fall intake on registration day (see the Admission Notice).

-Falsehood is found in the documents/certificates used for application.

-Unable to present the official graduating certificate and degree certificate during the matriculation at SUFE in September 2025 (for applicants who are in the final year at the time of application)
