The Chinese Government Scholarship-High-Level Postgraduate Program and the Chinese Government Scholarship-Silk Road Program are full scholarships established by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. These scholarships aim to directly select and recruit outstanding young foreign students to pursue postgraduate degrees in China.
01. Introduction
Enrollment Quotas, Categories, and Deadlines
- Programs:
- DUT is recruiting Master’s and PhD students under the High-Level Postgraduate Program and the Silk Road Program for the academic year 2025.
- The study duration is three years for Master’s students and four years for PhD students.
- Language of Instruction:
- Primarily Chinese, but certain programs are offered in English.
- Scholarship Duration:
- Scholarships cover the entire period of study as determined at admission. Extensions are generally not allowed.
- Scholarship Regulations:
- Scholarship recipients must adhere to Chinese Government Scholarship policies. Changes to the institution, major, or study duration are not permitted in principle after admission.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
- Educational Background and Age Limits:
- Master’s applicants: Hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
- PhD applicants: Hold a Master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
- Applicants must meet the language proficiency requirements of their desired program.
Scholarship Coverage
- Tuition: Waived.
- Accommodation: Free on-campus housing.
- Monthly Allowance:
- Master’s students: 3,000 CNY/month
- PhD students: 3,500 CNY/month
- Medical Insurance: Comprehensive coverage provided.
- International Travel: Not covered (self-funded).

- Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form:
- Complete the online form at http://www.campuschina.org and print the signed copy.
- DUT Agency Number: 10141

- Notarized Highest Diploma:
- University students must submit a study certificate. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English require notarized translations.
- Academic Transcripts:
- Include records from undergraduate and graduate studies (if applicable) issued by the university’s academic office. Translations must be notarized if not in Chinese or English.
- Study Plan Proposal:
- The DUT supervisor signed a document of no less than 1,000 words in Chinese or English.
- Two Recommendation Letters:
- From professors or associate professors, describe your academic objectives and potential.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form:
- Must be completed in English and include all required details (photo, physician’s signature, and hospital stamp). Valid for six months.
- Blood Test Report:
- Must include test results for HIV, Syphilis, HBsAg, and HCV.
- Passport Copy:
- Include the photo page and one blank visa page. The passport must be valid beyond September 2025.
- Language Proficiency Certificates:
- For Chinese-Taught Programs:
- HSK Level 4 (minimum score: 180) for science/engineering/economics/management.
- HSK Level 5 (minimum score: 180) for humanities and foreign languages.
- For English-Taught Programs:
- TOEFL (≥ 80) or IELTS (≥ 5.5).
- Proof of prior education in English (if applicable).
- Applicants from English-speaking countries are exempt.
- Certificate of No Criminal Conviction:
- Valid for six months. If unavailable, sign the No Criminal Record Commitment.
- Other Materials:
- Acceptance Letter (optional): Contact a DUT supervisor for assessment.
- Employment Certificate (if applicable).
- Photocopy of current visa (for applicants already in China).
- One passport-size photo (3cm x 4cm).
04. Application Process
- Submit the application on DUT’s website (http://iso.dlut.edu.cn) under the “Scholarship” category.
- Email all application materials as a ZIP file to dutsice@dlut.edu.cn. Use the following email subject format:
DUT application number + Passport Last Name + Passport First Name
(Example: 20241100001 + ABDUR + MUHAMMAD)
Note: Multiple scholarship applications require only one submission.

06. Admission Notice and Enrollment
- Admission notices will be issued by July 2025.
- Enrollment is scheduled for September 2025.
